Injured myself during IPL semi-final: Sehwag
In a bid to put an end to mounting speculation regarding his ‘injury status’, Virender Sehwag, himself, on Wednesday came forward and disclosed to media that he had carried a shoulder injury into the World Twenty20 Championships. Sehwag said that he suffered the injury during the IPL semi-finals against the Deccan Chargers.

Setting aside all the speculation about his injury Team India vice-captain Virender Sehwag came forward himself and told media that he suffered the injury during IPL semi-finals against Deccan Chargers.
"I was hurt while trying to stop the ball diving."
"I am not sure what will happen next, I will now see a specialist," said the Delhi player.
The Indian cricket Board (BCCI) had earlier said that a grade-I tear in the shoulder had ruled Sehwag out of the tournament.
However, IPL's Team Delhi manager TA Sekar says a different story.
"As far as I know, it was a finger injury he suffered while fielding in the slips. But he recovered from that and came back to play in the IPL. If there was any injury after IPL then I don't know," said Sekar.
Of late, rumours were rife of a stand-off between him and India skipper MS Dhoni.
Dhoni, apparently was miffed with Sehwag for not informing the team management of his injury, well in advance.
However, Dhoni himself later rubbished allegations of a rift by reading out a statement to the media on the team’s behalf.
Dinesh Kaarthik has been flown in to England as Sehwag’s replacement.
